Louisiana Housing Corporation Launches

The Louisiana Housing Corporation officially began operations on July 1 as the state's sole housing agency. This was accomplished with last year's legislation that consolidated the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency and housing programs administered by other state agencies into one new agency.

The new agency will now administer dozens of programs including the low-income housing tax credit, mortgage loan, home energy assistance, hurricane recovery, and homelessness prevention programs.
